MORE INFO

The photographs on this site are available as original prints made by author. Almost all photographs, except those in Snapshots folder, were created from several shots by stitching in special software (panorama makers).

The short side of the images is big enough to allow author to print them at almost 24" (61 cm) on high-end, 12-color, HP z3100 plotter. The usual size for "panoramic" images is something from 20 x 40" (50cm x 1m) to 24 x 50" (60cm x 1.2m), the actual size can vary and will depend of image. If you need special size – please feel free to ask about it. Some of the photographs can be printed even larger, once again – please ask if you need it.

The photographs are printed on tough and thick HP Professional Satin Photo Paper (11.3mil / 300g/m2) with HP Vivera pigment inks. According to Wilhelm Research (pdf) the display permanence rating of this paper/inks combination is more than 250 years under glass and more than 275 years behind UV-filtering glass or plexiglas. The prints have very high resistance to high humidity and water. No optical (UV) brighteners are used in this paper.

If, for any reason, you want prints on other than that paper, for instance on matte paper or canvas – please ask it and I will try to do it for you as soon as I will be able to get that paper.

Prints have white borders that vary from 1/5" (5mm) to 2" (50mm) – that depends on actual printed size and the whole print size itself (i.e. paper used). For example, if almost square photograph would be printed on 24" (61cm) roll of paper, the photograph itself will be 24 x 24", the exact printed size would be 23,4 x 23,4" with 1/5" white borders for 23 x 23" opening in 31 x 32" mat, or it can be printed 20.5 x 20.5" with 1.7" borders for 20 x 20" opening in 28 x 29" (or so) mat.

I can mount and mat prints up to the 32 x 47" (81 x 120cm) (mat size) or even 40 x 60" (1 x 1.5m), but I'm sure it is almost impossible (or really too expensive) to send this huge sizes abroad, so large prints shipped rolled.

So about the framing – drop me a line if you need framing and I will try to fugure out what I can do for you in case you don't have a local framing store as I do not. I'm using aluminium frames made from these mouldings. You can watch the colors here.

Though the surface of the print is enough durable it's possible to easily damage the print by careless handling, so please be careful and better do not even open rolled prints – let the framer do his job.
